Not having watched the TV shows, I was unaware that the doctor's eyes were black behind the specs. Man, that's a feature that few villains have. And just think: In our world, the animals are less likely to have visible whites of the eyes.

Or is it a coloring error like the many that appeared in the Super Mario shows?

I guess it's too late to tell him not to stare at the sun for ages. XD He always has eyes like that; strangely colouring errors are rare in the Sonic cartoon.
