You wha!? What happened?

*Reads comments* Well, I'm glad to hear you're okay, but boy that must suck. Especially since it makes it harder for us to see each other. :(

I'm very thankful that no one else was hurt, or I could never have gotten over a worse accident. I apologised to the guy I bumped into today and he said no problem, unless if you count insurance policies and other stuff on paper a problem!!

My old car will get fixed up in a few weeks and I will have what they call a 'courtesy car' for me to drive about in 'til they repair mine.
Speaking of which, we can meet up and do something this month if you like. :)

Well, that's good to hear. Nice to know you've got something to drive about in!

glad you and everyone else is okay.

i was stopped at a red light, 5 cars back, uphill. and.. i guess lindsay distracted me for a second because my foot somehow eased off the brake and i rolled UPHILL and hit the truck in front of me. luckily the lady driving the truck was very nice, and she literally had no damage to her vehicle because i hit her trailer hitch. sadly, the hitch tore through the front of my bumper and left in hole in both that and my ego. talk about a stupid accident. all i did was shake my head and cover my face over how dumb it was. it cost about $350 to replace the bumper. i sent her a card for christmas thanking her and "maybe we'll 'bump' into each other again sometime". (*groan*)

stupid distractions.. goes to show that even if you're driving safe, dumb things can still happen. let that be a lesson to make you a safer driver.

The thing I did wrong (besides a distraction) was not leave space of a car's distance away from each other. I happened to be in 'rush hour' at the time I did it.
My ego was crushed as my hood/bonnet hitting the guy's Jaguar X. With those cars, you know, he was the boss of a bed manufacturing company. :s

yeah that has got to be the worst part about it. don't let it haunt you for too long, though. it was just an accident, after all.

my father was a limo driver when he was younger, and one day he was in rush hour traffic and rear-ended a corvette. now those cars have an all-fiberglass body, so when he cracked it, the whole thing needed to be replaced. luckily he kept his job after that ;)

Crap, what sucks about crashing your car: not only do you risk injury, you also lose your main source of transportation...

I wasn't physically hurt really, nor was the other guy... but I didn't pay a second's attention on the road and hit, of all things, a Jaguar X. So that mansized brick had truly knackered up my matchstick mobile. My car's covered and repairable and it may be fixed in 14 days.
It was my own fault, btw. Too bad this has just happened after a grudging month of finishing the college module. Now the worst is truly over, I hope I can pick myself up in the next few days. Very upset I was responsible for all of this.

I remember when I was assigned by the property manager in my job to empty an abandoned deli. I got to keep anything I wanted that was left there, whatever I could carry. I was feeling pretty happy that I had several bagfuls of snacks and candy in my car, though I was pissed at the heavy, stop-and-go highway traffic on the way home. The property manager (who had accompanied me on my task) was driving in front of me and all it took was a flashy Bally's Total Fitness sign to distract me long enough to ram his blue Blazer. Luckily nothing happened to his car nor did anything happen to me, though my car suffered a broken power-steering unit and I feel it may have cost me a position as a super in my own apartment complex.

So yeah, I know what it's like to have a second's distraction cause a big boo boo. Really ruined the thrill of getting a major haul of free stuff too...

Ay ay ay... you still kept the free stuff as long as they weren't damaged? Thankfully though, you and everyone involved are still in one piece.
My ego was crushed as my hood/bonnet hitting the guy's Jaguar X. Apparently he's the boss of a bed manufacturing company and with cars like that, you know, I don't even want to imagine what would have happened if I went any higher than 25mph.
