Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Done with all my projects in 5 weeks

I am very busy.

Let's run it down: next week, two of my last ever assignments are due in so I'm cramming as much on a future technology presentation with my partner, and the personal website as possible. Then on Wednesday, I need a new mobile phone since the screen of my old one is fading away from all the scratches it had from the 3 years I had it. Ha, the only time I have to go to town and I won't even get my haircut til the end of May!

My final assignment, the big project, is coming along okay. Halfway done with much more tinkering to do on the shaders and materials (it's 3D, you know). I feel compelled to send you a link to one of my classmate's pieces on a short film when it finishes production next month.

I'd LOVE to post again but, honestly, I'd rather have my eyes plucked out by one of those rats I found last week nibbling on the bird table. But when I start posting again, I won't disappoint you!

March sucked, but April has been very good for me and the weather. And my cousin 'n' auntie are about to come back home from Tenerife after the flight traffic ban we're having.
